Catching Big Mama Fish Curbs Ocean Fertility

This article was very interesting to me because before reading this article, I was not aware how big female fish reproduce. The fact that they are not only able to carry more eggs but bigger eggs as well was very interesting to read. These fish are very important to our way of living because they are the ones that spawn the rest of the fish that we catch and eat. The danger in this is we are capturing these fish which eliminates a producer of the rest of the fish. I think these fish should not be captured because we need them to spawn the extra fish that we capture.
Next Steps? The most simple solution to this problem is that we need to set up regulations that prevent the capture of these fish. If we do this, then the hopefully they will just spawn more fish that we can eventually capture. The opportunity cost that capturing these fish have is very bad. For the one big fish that we capture, we are running the risk that the hundreds of fish that the BOFFFF will produce will end up not being caught and not being consumed by us. If we are able to stop the capture of these BOFFFF's then we will always have a sustainable source of fish for us humans.

SummaryScientists have recently discovered that big mama fish are very important to our way of living. In fishes case, the term bigger means better is very accurate. More specifically, female fish are the ones that we take focus on. This is because the amount of babies fish can have highly depend on the size of this fish. So the bigger the fish, the more babies it will have. The difference between how many babies fish can have is very substantial
